Does BetterVPN have a kill switch?
Yes. The kill switch blocks all internet traffic on your device the moment the VPN tunnel drops, so your real IP and DNS never leak. It's the same setting people running crypto wallets or remote work sessions usually want on by default.
Does BetterVPN work on networks that try to block or interfere with VPN traffic?
BetterVPN is built to stay connected on challenging networks. The apps use strong encryption and can move your session to another server when needed—so you get reliable protection while traveling, on public Wi-Fi, or on strict office networks.
Can I choose which traffic uses the VPN and which does not?
Yes. Split-tunnel rules let you exclude an entire region from the tunnel, exclude specific apps, or exclude specific websites and IP addresses—so local banking and domestic sites can use your normal connection while other traffic uses the VPN.
Which platforms have a native app?
iPhone and iPad (iOS / iPadOS), Android phones and tablets, Windows, macOS, Apple TV (tvOS) and Android TV. One subscription covers all of them.
Do you keep logs of my browsing?
No. BetterVPN does not retain your browsing history or the contents of your VPN traffic. Account-level data we need to bill you (email, subscription state) is kept; traffic content is not.
How do I pay for BetterVPN?
Stripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay) and PayPal. You can cancel renewal at any time from the My Subscriptions page; access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
How many devices can I use?
Your plan covers all the devices you personally use - phone, laptop, desktop, TV. Sign in to the app with your BetterVPN account on each one.
Will BetterVPN slow down my internet?
Encryption always adds a small overhead, but we tune routes and capacity so everyday browsing and video calls stay responsive. Pick the closest server for the lowest latency.
Is there a BetterVPN app for Apple TV or Android TV?
Yes. We ship native tvOS and Android TV apps. Install once on your TV, sign in with your BetterVPN account, and your TV can use the VPN with the same subscription as your other devices.
